About this spot
Banana Beach in Aourir, just north of Taghazout, gets its name from the banana plantations that line the valley behind the coast. This long sandy beach is one of the most accessible surf areas in the region and offers several consistent peaks. Surfers usually refer to the main spots here as K11 and K12, named after their approximate kilometer distance from Agadir. K11, located on the southern side of the beach, is typically the most beginner-friendly spot with softer, more forgiving waves. K12 often offers slightly stronger and more defined peaks, making it better suited for beginner to intermediate surfers who are comfortable navigating a busier lineup.
